REVIEWS

In Classical Music Magazine, 22 December 2007, Edmund's Organ Piece 'Quiet Rush' was picked as one of the  'Premieres of the Year 2007'. The piece was referred to as '...a little gem for organ...a welcome addition to the recital repertoire'.

From Gramophone Magazine, May 2007, on 'Knock About' - the piece released on CD by O Duo in January 2007 on the Sony/BMG label: "...obvious care and sophistication governs the composer's approach to imitative writing and rhythmic displacements. The piece seems tailor-made for the effortless yet razor-sharp precision and rapport between Gunnell and Cox." (This CD was also voted CD of the month in February by the Daily Telegraph)

From the Independent Newspaper, 10th April, 2006: "Edmund Jolliffe's 'Rain Dance' launched a vigorous three- chord mix of African dance and Bach chaconne, and found plenty of resources in a single bow."

From the Evening Herald, 23rd August, 2004: "The world premiere of Edmund Jolliffe's 'Triptych' once more drew the best from both performer and instrument..."

From Whatsonstage.com, 10th October, 2005 (from a review of the play 'Yerma' at Jermyn Street Theatre): (A review of the play 'Yerma' at Jermyn Street Theatre) "The evocative music, courtesy of Edmund Jolliffe, is a definite plus."
