Current information on Edmund's music
Edmund has been commissioned by the Rose Trio (recent winners of the Royal Overseas League Competition) to write a piece for their forthcoming series of concerts. The first movement 'Call Me' was recently premiered by them. The piece 'Double F for Freddie' for eight hands at one piano was commissioned by Trinity College of Music and will be premiered in a concert in September.
Edmund has been commissioned by the St. Alban's Symphony Orchestra to write a piece for a concert in March 2011. He will be spending a month at the Banff Music Centre, Canada in October, in order to write this piece.
Edmund's pieces 'Four Fun Pieces for Beginner Bass' and 'The Iron
Tongue' (for double bass and piano) have been published by Recital Music. http://www.recitalmusic.net/index.php. They have recently decided to publish 'Move It' for four double basses as well.
Edmund is providing the music for the second series of 'The Hospital'. With Julian Hamlin, he composed music for the popular first series, first shown on Channel Four in 2009. A new website dedicated to Edmund's TV work can now be found at:
www.hamlinandjolliffe.com. He is also writing music for a documentary on ITV about the Blitz and is working on another documentary for Channel Four.
'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace' has been recorded by the choir of the Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace and is due for release in the near future (under the Signum label).
