Edmund is currently writing the music for a documentary on Channel Four 'Abo Art', directed by
BAFTA winning Margy Kinmonth. He recently finished writing music for a
Cutting Edge documentary 'Bobski Builder', a documentary about the Irish Troubles for
ITV 'The Trouble I've Seen' and some music for the Sky series 'BorderForce'. In September he will be scoring a documentary for BBC 1 on the Prince of Wales.
Edmund's choral piece 'In the midst of Life' (commissioned for the Dartington Festival of Music) will be premiered on 29th August this year.
His anthem 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace' was performed in the
final concert of the International Festival of Contemporary Church
Music on 17th May by the choir of the Chapel Royal. They also performed
it in their church service on 11th May and in June in a concert at
Blackheath Concert Halls. The choir are now planning to include it on a
CD of pieces commissioned by them.
'Now is the time of Christemas' is currently being edited for inclusion
in a collection of carols published by Oxford University Press later
this year.
'O my deir hert' is currently being prepared for recording by the choir
of Selwyn College Cambridge for inclusion on a CD of new anthems.
Edmund's pieces 'Four Fun Pieces for Beginner Bass' and 'The Iron
Tongue' (for double bass and piano) are being published by
BIBF/Recital Music for release later this year.
'Pagan Dance No.3' for piano duet, was premiered by AnythingPiano
on 6th March in Massachusetts, USA. The duo also performed the piece in
two further concerts on 17th and 20th April, in Massachusetts and New
Hampshire and in Fuller Village, Milton, Massachusetts (June 1st), Atrium, Portland, Maine (June 8th), Brookhaven,
Lexington, Massachusetts (June 26th). The Piano Duo, made up of pianists Bonnie Anderson and Donna Gross
Javel, will be performing the piece again in the Arts Complex Museum,
Duxbury, Massachusetts (5th October, 4.00pm).
